Strategic Creating & Consulting
from a hospitality champion with 15+ years experience.
There is no one size fits all to marketing or social media needs. I partner with brands that I know and love to help them build whatever creative content, strategy, copywriting, or web services they need. I say partner because that’s how I consider my “clients” - I work with brands that I believe in to create and strategize whatever matches their goals.
I got my master's degree in Marketing in 2012, and I've been helping businesses build their online presence and creative assets since 2010. Originally from Alabama, I moved to Seattle in 2013 and turned my passion for food and hospitality into a career, working alongside the industry in just about every capacity there is.
I started as a social media manager and creator for restaurants when it was just becoming a true profession, and “influencers” hadn’t really hit the scene yet - we were still hyper-focused on Facebook, Yelp, and Twitter back then.
I consider myself first and foremost a writer, and I launched my blog Eat, Drink, Travel, Y’all! in 2015 on which there are hundreds of pieces I have written and photographed myself (almost none of these are compensated pieces). I made a name for myself in the Seattle and Pacific Northwest market with my writing and work with restaurants.
While I detest the term “influencer” and would never identify that way now, I certainly was one of the bigger ones in Seattle for several years, and I’ve seen firsthand the wild evolution of this part of marketing.
Social media is where I started, and it’s still very much a leader in what I do. As someone who has been on both ends of the spectrum, I am extremely well versed in all aspects of how marketing works for the hospitality industry, and how to identify gaps in brands.
Growing a brand while being the brand is exhausting. I know, because I've done it for mine. And that's why I know how to help you do it for yours, no matter what size your business.
Cheers,
Steph
